Traffic ConsultationProposed resident parking scheme in Kennet Place
Following a request from residents and with the support of Marlborough Town Council, Wiltshire Council is consulting on a change to parking restrictions at Kennet Place, Marlborough to provide convenient parking for residents.
The proposed changes are summarised here:
a) To remove No Waiting at any time on the following length of road:
Kennet Place – north side – from a point 20 metres east of the centre of the access to Kennet Mews for a distance of 4 metres in an easterly direction
b) To remove No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm on the following length of road:
Kennet Place – south side – from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Town Mill for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction
c) To introduce Parking Monday to Sunday 8am – 6pm Resident Permit Holders only or 2 hours No Return within 2 hours on the following lengths of road:
Kennet Place – north side – from a point 6 metres east of the centre of the access to Kennet Mews for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction
Kennet Place – south side – from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Town Mill for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction
There are four documents comprising this consultation:
Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Marlborough Library, 91 High Street SN8 1HD during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 19th February 2024. Documents can also be viewed online from 25 January at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations
Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent by post to reach the Traffic Order Team, Sustainable Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN allowing 7 days, by email to TrafficOrderConsultations@wiltshire.gov.uk or using the response form on the website at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations to reach the Sustainable Transport Group by 19th February 2024 quoting reference LJB/TRO/MARLcons.
