Your new Town Mayor

At the Annual Town Council meeting last evening outgoing Mayor Councillor Kym-Marie Cleasby, oversaw the election of the new Town Mayor for 2025-26.  Councillor Emily Trow was elected unanimously, and Councillor Mark Luson was elected as Deputy Mayor.

Please join us in welcoming both to their new roles within the Council.

As this year was an election year we did things a little differently.  This meeting allowed Councillors to agree committee membership and confirm the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor but there was no reception or invited guests - that will take place at a formal robing ceremony on 2 June.
