An update for those who have been in contact with us and/or with Wiltshire Council about the tree that fell during the recent storms and is blocking the footpath - officially labelled MARL30 on the Wiltshire Council public rights of way map.
The good news is that the team from Wiltshire Council has visited the site to work out what's needed. The not so good news is that removing the tree will require specialised kit and skills that are currently in very high demand: Wiltshire Council has been kept busy right across the county since the three named storms hit in such quick succession. However we're glad to learn that - assuming no more storms! - they hope to clear it by the middle of next week. Our team is standing by if they need some help, but we hope that you'll be able to use this footpath again soon.
