Royal seal of approval for cinema
Today, 2 December 2021, HRH the Duchess of Cornwall paid a visit to Marlborough.
Accompanied by Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire Mrs Sarah Troughton, HRH was greeted by Robert Hiscox DL who introduced the Mayor, Directors of the cinema, management and staff, supporters, architects and contractors who had been involved in the transformation of the 1817 Chapel into such a superb facility which has already become a firm favourite with residents and visitors alike. It was a very fitting recognition of the hard work and determination of everyone involved, and our Mayor was honoured to be invited to meet HRH. The visit included a very short film trailer and the unveiling of a plaque as well as some fascinating before and after photographs.
