Flooding
Information and adviceWe are aware of drainage issues or concerns as a result of heavy rain. Please be assured that we are monitoring this situation closely.
After the floods in January we recruited a team of volunteer Flood Wardens. They are monitoring their areas and reporting any concerns and issues back to us, so that we can log them with the appropriate authority.
Anyone can report a blocked gulley to Wiltshire Council Highways. This is the quickest way to get drainage issues resolved. We will of course report on behalf of residents but there may be a time delay in going through us as a third party. If an issue with a gulley reported to Wiltshire Council is the responsibility of a third party such as Thames Water we will ask Wiltshire Council to take up the conversation with the relevant party on our behalf.
Leaflets were hand-delivered by our team and/or flood wardens to residential and business addresses at risk last week.
To report an issue to Wiltshire Council go to https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/report-online or call 0300 456 0100 - you can report 24 hours/day, 7 days per week.
