Temporary Closure of: A4 (Part), Avebury, West Overto
n and Fyfield (Ref: TTRO 9522)
Notice is hereby given that the
Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffi
c:
A4 (Part), Avebury, West Overton and Fyfield; from i
ts junction with B4003 to outside its property known as Priest Acre Co
ttage.
To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out carri
ageway resurfacing, replacement of road markings, adjustment of ironwo
rks and associated works.
Alternative route: via A4 (unaffected
length) – A361 – A342 – A338 – A4 and vice versa.
The closure and di version will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order
will come into operation on 17 June 2024 and the closure will be re
quired between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 25 June 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to c
omplete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be
maintained f
or residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due
to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of
18 months.
