From 4pm to 6pm kids can drop in to the Town Hall to see Father C hristmas where there will also be FREE kids craft activities, while the gro wn-ups can enjoy a cuppa at the Rotary cafe.

From 5pm you'll be able to spot street enter tainers in and around the market, and look out for Santa's sleigh a bit lat er too!

For one nigh t only we're transforming the steps of the Town Hall into a stage, all set for a fabulous line-up of festive tunes from the ever-popular MAD (Marlboro ugh Academy of Dance and Drama) and students from St John's, then, once the lights go on at 6.30pm, local duo Amanda & Phil will round off the ent ertainment with a Christmassy set.

For the safety of those attending the event please bear in m ind that the High Street will be cl osed between 5-8pm and, to ease the flow of traffic, parking will be suspended on George Lane and Pewsey Road from 3pm

IN ACCOR DANCE with Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, which section gi ves Wiltshire Council (“the Council”) the power to make an Order for roads within its administrative area to be closed temporarily to all vehicular tr affic (and for alternative routes to be observed) for the purposes of preve nting obstruction.

The Council HEREBY ORDERS

On: & nbsp; Friday 18th November 2022 between the hours of 17.00 ;and 20.00

Purp ose: &nb sp; Christmas Lights Switch-O n Event

That the following roads and st reets in the town of Marlborough&nb sp;are to be closed (save in any case of emergency) to all vehicul ar traffic:

A4 (Part) High Street; from its junction with A345 Pewsey Road to its junction with Ne w Road.

C18 Kingsbury Street (Part); from its junction with High Street to its juncti on with Silverless Street.

A4 (Part) New Road; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Lo ndon Road.

Nothing in this Order shall prevent vehicles from procee ding in the said lengths of road when being used in connection with the eve nt stated above.

AND it is also hereby ordered that appropriately sign posted di versionary routes will be in place throughout the period of closure.
