Armistice Day

Monday, 11 November 2024

Claire Garrett DL represented Wiltshire Lieutenancy at Marlborough Town Hall to join people of the town to mark the 2-minute silence at 11am.

Claire also laid a wreath at the 7th Wiltshire Regiment Memorial along with the Mayor, the Commanding Officer of 4MI Battalion, the Royal British Legion and the Head Girl of St Johns School.

As is customary on Armistice Day each year, a small party visited the two Cemeteries at the Common where they paid their respects to the town's war dead and laid poppy posies.

We will remember them.
