Following the groundwater flooding in 2013/2014 theEnvironment Agency has developed 22 community based groundwater flood warning areas across the following areas: Bourne Valley, River Till and Chitterne, Ebble, Vale of Allen, North Winterborne, Frome and Piddle, South Winterborne Valley.
The Agency is keen to extend the groundwater flood warning service to areas which currently do not benefit from the service. In this respect, they are appealing to the public for any historic reports, photos or local knowledge of issues.

It would be a shame to encounter dog mess while out and about. Don't forget you can report dog fouling problems via the Wiltshire Council reporting tool (you can download the App to your phone). The Dogs Trust has more info on this unpleasant issue via their Big Scoop campaign.
To qualify for national welfare benefits applicants have to meet a number of criteria that are set by the government. In addition to national benefits Wiltshire Council has created a local scheme to support low income households and help them with their council tax: the council tax reduction scheme. Wiltshire Council is proposing changes to the scheme from 1st April 2017 and is conducting a survey to gather a range of views to be taken into account when deciding to make changes or not. Read more, and take the survey, on Wiltshire Council's website, phone 0300 456 0110 or write to Revenues and Benefits, Wiltshire Council, Monkton Park, Chippenham SN15 1ER.
