Flood dashboard
Drop-in and learn moreIn January 2024 homes and businesses in Marlborough suffered internal flooding at a scale last seen in 1947. Climate change is expected to increase flood risk. Marlborough is in a chalk catchment, and flood water can come from rivers (fluvial flooding), aquifers (ground water flooding), rainfall (surface water flooding) or all three at once.
Marlborough Town Council has supported Action for the River Kennet (ARK) in the development of an online flood dashboard which brings together information from the river, groundwater and rainfall level gauging stations that impact on the risk of floods for Marlborough in one easy to find place. The data will be presented as an online dashboard, with only the levels relating to Marlborough displayed. The information will help the residents of Marlborough and Manton, and those supporting them to have a better understanding of flood risk. Open the dashboard here: Marlborough Flood Info

We are hosting a drop-in session at the Town Hall on Thursday 3rd April from 6.30pm – 7.30pm to give everyone with an interest an opportunity to find out more about the dashboard, learn how to use and understand the information on it
