Christmas Lights

On Friday, 19 November the Christmas Market returns to Marlborough High Street, with stallholders setting up from 10am.  So whether you're starting your Christmas shopping, looking to treat yourself or looking for festive food and drink, our marvellous marketeers will be ready to greet you.

To limit the risk of spreading covid, and in particular to keep such an elderly gentleman as Santa safe, we're sorry that there will be no Santa's grotto this year as all events will be outdoors: look out for street entertainers walking about in the High Street from 5pm onwards.

There's no big stage this year but there WILL be song!

At 5.30pm the fabulous BlueBelles return to serenade us from the steps of the Town Hall, and then at 6pm look up to the balcony for a very special duet from Cheryl Heuston's ever popular, supremely talented young Marlborough Academy of Drama and Dance performers.

There will of course be a visit from Santa to get us all in the Christmas spirit - his elves have promised us he will come along in his sleigh in time to meet the little ones and watch the lights switch-on.  He'll be flying in just in time for school to finish, then taking a trip around the High Street just after 6pm.
