A message from our Mayor

mervynjpgTo all residents of Marlborough

The current crisis with Coronavirus is unprecedented and these are difficult times for us all.  We are having to cope with isolation, health risks, possibly losing loved ones and the financial worries that this dreadful pandemic has brought us.  I would like to thank everyone for observing the restrictions on movement, which will save lives, and those who are working in the NHS, food outlets, care homes, council services and transport, all in support of our community.  It is so heartening to see our numerous volunteers who have stepped up to help those in need, thank you to them too.

It will be many weeks before things return to some semblance of normality and the challenge for all of us is to keep following government advice especially on social distancing and keep up our efforts. In the meantime, stay safe and stay well.

Councillor Mervyn Hall

Town Mayor
