DESCRIPTION:In January 2024 homes and businesses in Marlborough suffered internal flood
 ing at a scale last seen in 1947. Climate change is expected to increase fl
 ood risk. Marlborough is in a chalk catchment, and flood water can come fro
 m rivers (fluvial flooding), aquifers (ground water flooding), rainfall (su

 rough Town Council has supported Action for the River Kennet (ARK (https://
 www.riverkennet.org/)) in the development of a Flood Dashboard which brings
  together information from the river, groundwater and rainfall level gaugin
 g stations that impact on the risk of floods for Marlborough in one easy to
  find place.\nWe are hosting a drop-in session at the Town Hall on Thursday
  3rd April from 6.30pm – 7.30pm to give everyone with an interest an opport
 unity to find out more about the Dashboard, learn how to use and understand
  the information on it.  \nThe website will be accessible to anyone with in
