Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Closure of: B3052 (Part) and Footpath 29 (Part), Marlborough (Ref: TTRO7328)

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily toall traffic:

A) B3052 (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with Culvermead Close for a distance of approximately 80 metres in a westerly direction

.B) Footpath 29 (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with George Lane for a distance of approximately 73 metres in a northerly direction.

To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out installation of signal-controlled crossing andassociated works.

Alternative route (a): via B3052 (unaffected length) – A345 – A4 - B3052 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

Alternative route (b) for Pedestrians: via B3052 – A4 - Angel Yard - Footpath 29 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 19 July 2021 and the closure will be required until 31July 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order (a) will have a maximum duration of 18 months and Order (b) will have a maximum duration of 06 months.
