10 DECEMBER 2021
With the most recent changes announced as part of Plan B (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus), in order to continue to provide a public service we will keep our office at 5 High Street open to walk-in enquiries during normal office hours rather than have all our office staff work from home. This situation will be reviewed regularly and may change if the COVID situation changes.
From 10 December anyone entering any of our buildings (5 High Street, Town Hall, Marlborough Youth & Community Centre) must wear a face covering unless exempt, and continue to observe good hygiene and distancing rules. We will review the situation regularly and provide any further updates via our website and social media channels.
A summary of Plan B:
England is moving to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant.
19 JULY 2021
The buzzer system at our front door at 5 High Street will no longer be used after 19 July - just push the door to come in during office hours.
From 19 July, people are expected and recommended to continue to wear face coverings in indoor enclosed spaces, such as public transport, unless they are exempt. Visitors are asked to wear a face covering when entering and exiting the Council Offices.
There will no longer be limits on the number of people who can attend weddings, civil partnerships, funerals and other life events (including receptions and celebrations). There will be no requirement for table service at life events, or restrictions on singing or dancing. You should follow guidance for weddings and funerals to reduce risk and protect yourself and others.
A Wiltshire Council update webinar was held via Microsoft Teams on 15 July from 6pm. You can watch a recording of the webinar on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoqDMMAKu_s

Town Council meetings revert to in-person meetings at the Town Hall. Until further notice this will be in the Assembly Room rather than the Council Chamber to allow for safe social distancing.
