Crofton Beam Engines
Crofton Pumping Station is one of the most significant industrial heritage sites in the United Kingdom. Built in 1807-9 to supply water to the highest point of the Kennet & Avon Canal which links London and Bristol.Open to visitors every Tuesday between 10:00-14:00 on 'work days'. Check the website for steaming weekends and events

The only operating windmill in WessexYou can visit the site at any time - guided tours available on Sundays from Easter to the end of September

Marlborough's week long celebration of the past.The Merchant’s House is thrilled to present History Live, a week-long festival celebrating history in all its forms. This inaugural event promises something for everyone: from engaging lectures and a walking tour of Marlborough to visits to Wilton Windmill and Shaw House

Aviation film producer Nicholas Jones combines a mix of history and personal anecdotes interspersed with short extracts from Whittle - The Jet Pioneer at Kennet Valley Hall, Lockeridge
24 April - The Lifeboat Concert
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the RNLI’s Lifeguards
A lively evening of seafaring songs and verse at St Peter's with the talented and versatile Dodecantus Chamber Choir who will be letting their hair down with a programme including works by Queen, Spike Milligan, Bob Chilcott and Regina Spektor along with songs about lifeboats and mermaids.All proceeds from this concert go to the RNLI – the charity that saves lives at sea.
